It has been 5 years since GIA(Gender Impact Assesment) started in 2005. Although, the number of GIA subjects in Jeonnam was increased rapidly, from 2 subjects in 2005 to 129 subjects in 2010, the result of gender equality progress of policy is not sufficient. Gender Analysis has not been settled as a mainstream paradigm even though the GIA enforcement was done for 5 years.

Thus this article analyzed GIA subjects which were done during last 5 years in Jeonnam province, checked the achievement and sought for assignment that should be solved near future to advance the effect of gender mainstream policy including GIA. During the research process, we composed of RGPN(Regional Gender Participatory Network) and held RGPN meetings 3 times. RGPN meetings made diverse practical assignments for gender perception policy attainments like a gender perception forum composition, etc.
As a result, this research presented several suggestions. These are an incentive system implement after GIA, the system institutionalization of feedback, the expansion of gender perception education through local government head or executive, enacting or revising relative ordinance, and establishing local governance.
