The First half of 2017 Degree of Social Insurance Subscription by Sex
This is the result of dividing the degree of social insurance subscription of paid workers by sex according to the 2017 Economically Active Population Survey (by work type) data. For female paid workers, 63.7% are subscribed to national pension service, 67.9% are subscribed to national health insurance service, and 65.0% are subscribed in employment insurance. In the case of male paid workers, 73.2% are subscribed in national pensionservice, 79.1% are subscribed in national health insurance service, and 76.1% are subscribed in employment insurance. Therefore, it is shown the degree of social insurance subscription is lower in female than in male.
When we look at each social insurances, female’s subscription in national health insurance service is 11.2%p lower than of male’s which showed the biggest gap. It is followed by 11.1%p for employment insurance, and 9.5%p for national pension service.
