Title Jeonbuk Recorded as Highest in the Male Smoking Prevalence Rate in 2015

According to the Community Health Survey conducted by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC), Jeonbuk was recorded as highest in the male smoking prevalence rate among 17 provinces and metropolitan cities, which was 42.5%. It was followed by Chungnam (41.1%), Gyeongbuk (40.7%), and Seoul (40.5%). These provinces were also included in the high-percentage group, that is, over 40%.

The next followers were Gyeongnam (39.8%), Incheon (39.7%), and Chungbuk, Busan, and Gwangju were 39.4%.

Ulsan was the lowest one (34.0%), and Jeju (36.1%) and Sejong (36.2%) were also relatively lower than other provinces.
