Title (No. 396) Female Council Members under the Central Administrative Agencies on a Constant Rise

This graph demonstrates the status of women's participation in councils affiliated to the central administrative agencies and local governments. The number of female members in councils under the central administrative agencies amounted to 1,949 persons in 2012 and 2,630 persons in 2014. The size rose to 2,805 persons in 2016.

The percentage of female council members under the central administrative agencies consistently increased by 2.0%p, from 25.7% in 2012 to 27.7% in 2013. In 2014, the percentage surpassed 30% for the first time. In 2015, it increased by 2.8%p, reaching 34.5%. In case of 2016, 36.3% of the members under the central administrative agencies were females. This figure rose by 4.6%p compared to 2012.
