Dear all,

This is the 14th President of Korean Women’s Development Institute, Myung-Sun Lee.
Since the establishment in 1983, Korean Women’s Development Institute has been a leading government funded women’s research institute under the Prime Minister’s Office.

As a leading women’s policy Think-tank, KWDI has been researching on comprehensive issues in South Korea’s women’s policy. And by providing informations on women’s policy, women’s development, and research, KWDI has been contributing to women’s participation in the society, welfare and family and further development of South Korea.

By striving to achieve gender equal society, KWDI will do its utmost to contribute to the government’s efforts to implement practical policies. And moreover, in step with the current government’s national project on achieving the employment rate of 70%, KWDI will focus on research topics such as supporting women’s work continuation, supporting work-life balance, creating the culture of family-friendly work environment, fostering female talents and creating basis for gender equality and developing preparation policies on women, family and social inclusion for the future reunified South Korea.
